The report includes route headings “Between Hamlet, N. C., and Poston, S. C.,” “Between Andrews, S. C., and Poston, S. C.,” and “Between McBee, S. C., and Poston, S. C.” Poston appears as a terminal/station, including “Poston, S.C. — 31.0 miles” on page 1299. Page 1300 includes a route through Hartsville, Darlington, Florence, Pamplico, Waring, Kingsburg, and Poston.

Railroad-System Context

The report explains that the Carolina, Atlantic & Western Railway and Georgetown & Western Railway had been acquired by the Seaboard Air Line Railway Company and operated within the Seaboard system. This helps reconcile the Georgetown & Western name on the 1912 plat with the Seaboard Air Line language in the 1916 newspaper notice.
